Summer Update 2023

12th July 2023

We welcome new additions to both FilmApp and EventApp.

Wembley – EventApp

We are delighted to announce that Wembley Park is joining the EventApp family. Anyone who has made a trip to the stadium or the surrounding area will know what a hot hangout the spot has become. And how much is going on in this exciting new neighbourhood.

No wonder the Evening Standard described Wembley Park as: “One of the most talked about hotspots in the city.”

As well as lots of free family fun and activities as part of their Summer of Play, Wembley Park boasts a free Art Trail, an Outlet centre, a 4D cinema and a mouthwatering selection of restaurants.

There are so many events happening every day of the week, from pub quizzes, yoga and creative coffee mornings, to nights at the famous Box Park, and music highlights like Britpop royalty Blur playing Wembley Stadium.

One glance at their packed calendar will tell you how much organising goes on behind the scenes by the Wembley Park events team. By choosing to partner with EventApp they are putting technology to work to ensure each event runs smoothly and to plan.

Welcome Wembley!

Coventry – EventApp

There’s always something going on throughout Coventry and the wider region. Which is why we are thrilled to announce that Coventry is joining forces with Event App as their one-stop event permit management platform of choice, to manage its busy programme of activities.

Amongst its attractions Coventry offers Shakespearean theatre, top name stadium concerts and the best of modern comedy. You can sample the treats of a food festival, snap up a bargain at a local market, or see some of the best touring exhibitions at one the city’s museums.

There’s plenty to see and do for all the family, and Coventry’s summer festivals and events calendar can take you anywhere, from attending a Lunt Roman Festival, exploring medieval wonders with a guided city tour, or discovering events spanning every art form imaginable.

With so much good stuff going on, it clearly all takes some organising. The events team at Coventry have made a great choice by partnering with EventApp to provide seamless and memorable event experiences for all residents and visitors.

Coventry – it’s great to welcome you to the Events App community!

Royal Naval College – FilmApp

Empire magazine called the Royal Naval College the most popular filming location in the world.” And we are delighted to welcome them to the FilmApp family of clients, who have all made the excellent choice of selecting us to be their preferred film permitting solution platform.

The Royal Naval College took a starring role as Buckingham Palace in The Crown, and doubled up for 19th Century revolutionary Paris in Les Misérables. It’s a location that has provided the setting for some of the most memorable scenes in major international film and TV productions. covering over 60 years of filming.

It offers great exteriors in the iconic settings of the riverside grounds, and the opportunity to move inside for the magnificent Painted Hall where Nigel Hawthorne became King George in The Madness of King George (1994)

Movie buffs will recognise the RNC as the setting for the antics of Meryl Streep as Margaret Thatcher in The Iron Lady (2011) and Emma Stone as Cruella in Disney’s 2021 hit. And it was also played host to Rowan Atkinson as he uttered the classic line, “Repeat after me, I do take thee, Lydia Jane Hibbott, to be my awful wedded wife,” in Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994).

We’re thrilled to welcome the Royal Naval College and we can’t wait to start working together.
