Apply4 is pleased to announce that it has been named as a supplier on the UK Government G-Cloud 12 framework, which means the creators of EventApp and FilmApp have been recognised as an official public sector supplier.
G-Cloud is a UK government initiative designed to help public-sector bodies in the UK government to source IT services which use cloud computing. Thanks to a series of agreements with suppliers, G-Cloud allows public sector organisations to search and buy EventApp and FilmApp without needing to run a full tender or competition procurement process.
The G-Cloud service began in 2012 with several initial calls for contracts, and after continued growth by 2014 there were over 700 registered suppliers, with over £50m of sales.
Apply4 can be found in the G-Cloud 12’s ‘Digital Marketplace’ (previously called ‘CloudStore’) which allows public sector bodies to search for services that are covered by the G-Cloud frameworks.
The Digital Marketplace procurement processes handle selection and procurement of services. They do not replace internal processes for securing funds, but once funds are available, procurement from the Digital Marketplace does not require a full tender or mini-competition.
