Worlwide Sign-Ups as Apply4 Continues to Grow

17th December 2021

We wanted to showcase some of the new partnerships which have been taking place around the world as part of Apply4’s expanding global network.

New Zealand

First up it’s the Southern Hemisphere, as we spotlight the work of two powerhouses from New Zealand’s film and broadcast production industries. Auckland and Wellington have both chosen FilmApp for their film permit process.

Auckland is New Zealand’s largest city, with a well-earned international reputation as a filming destination. It’s home to one third of the nation’s population and has a talent pool that has worked on a huge range of ads and films, from ‘Mulan’ to ‘The Meg’, and ‘Ash vs Evil Dead.’

Wellington is the hub for a range of world-class production and special effects facilities, as well as a number of talented filmmakers. Affectionately known as ‘Wellywood’, Wellington has helped create some of the world’s most creative and cutting-edge films and television series with leading international film studios. Hollywood blockbusters which have been worked on in Wellington include ‘The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy, ‘Avatar’, ‘King Kong’, ‘The Avengers’, and ‘Ghost in the Shell.’

Tempe (Arizona)
In the United States, Tempe in Arizona has signed up for both EventApp and FilmApp to streamline and simplify its entire filming and events permitting process. Tempe is situated between the city of Phoenix and the East Valley area, and is home to the main campus of Arizona State University. More than 5,000 films and TV shows have been filmed in the state of Arizona, including ‘Star Wars’, ‘Psycho’, ‘Jerry Maguire’, ‘Forrest Gump’ and ‘Casablanca’.

Kent
In the UK Ashford in Kent are the latest local authority to choose Event App as their event permit solution. Right across the county, local councils have taken the use of EventApp one step further, using it to unify their Safety Advisory Group’s (SAG) way of working. EventApp has provided an easy, cost-effective platform which allows SAG Groups to work transparently with all the relevant stakeholders, like production companies, local residents and the police. Which makes applying for, and authorizing events easier to monitor and manage.

It’s a theme that has also proved successful with the SAG Group in Sevenoaks. They told us: “We would recommend EventApp to all SAG groups. EventApp allows for easy communication with applicants and a transparent process throughout. With reliable customer support, moving to a digital process couldn’t be easier.”

In nearby Maidstone their SAG Group also appreciated the value in EventApp providing transparency and clarity for a large number of event production stakeholders who are working remotely: “The SAG find the discussion board so effective and convenient that it wasn’t considered necessary to physically sit around a table to discuss the event plans with the organiser. We’d only consider calling a meeting if the event organiser didn’t engage with our conversation or process or if there were major safety concerns flagged by a SAG member.”
