As the summer of 2024 draws to a close, we at EventApp are taking a moment to reflect on an action-packed season filled with incredible outdoor events across the globe.

Our platform has been buzzing with activity, as event organisers have been arranging an array of festivals, fairs, and celebrations. From the shores of New Jersey to the parks of London, from the desert of Arizona to the costs of Kent, EventApp has been helping connect communities and streamline event management.

Here’s a glimpse of some of the most exciting outdoor events that took place this summer in some of our key locations: Hounslow, Wildwood, Barnet, Thanet, Folkestone, and Tempe. What an international mix!

Hounslow, England

Hounslow, a lively borough in West London, embraced its cultural diversity with various community-oriented events:

Bedfont Lakes Country Park Festival
This local favorite is known for its family-friendly activities, including live music, food stalls, craft markets, and a community carnival. The festival brought families together for a weekend of fun in the sun.

Hounslow Heath Fun Fair
Held in July, the fun fair at Hounslow Heath attracted thrill-seekers of all ages with its rides, games, and live entertainment. The event was a great way to enjoy the warmer weather and the local park’s wide-open space.

Wildwood, New Jersey

Wildwood, famous for its boardwalk and beaches, didn’t disappoint with its range of beachside events this summer:

Wildwood’s Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular
Celebrating Independence Day on the Wildwood beach is always a highlight of the summer. Thousands gathered to watch the fireworks light up the night sky over the ocean, accompanied by music and a festive atmosphere.

The Wildwood Beach Sand Sculpting Festival
A truly unique experience, this festival drew in talented sand sculptors who created massive and intricate works of art right on the beach. It was a delight for both participants and spectators!

Barefoot Country Music Fest

Taking place in August, this four-day festival transformed Wildwood’s beach into a stage for some of the biggest names in country music. The oceanfront backdrop added to the event’s special vibe, attracting music lovers from across the U.S.

Barnet, England

Barnet, a vibrant borough in North London, had a variety of community-focused outdoor events this summer:

Barnet Summertime Festival
This lively festival offered an exciting blend of food stalls, live music, and cultural performances. Families gathered in Barnet’s parks to enjoy the warm weather, and children loved the fairground rides and craft activities.

Friary Park Fun Day
Held in the picturesque Friary Park, this fun day had something for everyone – from food trucks and live music to inflatables and games for kids. It was a perfect way for locals to celebrate summer together in a relaxed outdoor setting.

Thanet, England

Located along the coast of Kent, Thanet is a summer hotspot thanks to its beaches and lively outdoor events:

Margate Soul Festival
This August festival brought soul music to the streets and beaches of Margate. The three-day event featured live performances, DJs, and a mix of soulful rhythms, making it one of the most anticipated summer events in Thanet.

Broadstairs Folk Week
Music was in the air at Broadstairs during this week-long festival in August. From sea shanties to contemporary folk, this event celebrated the rich musical heritage of the area with live performances across multiple venues, including the beach.

Folkestone, England

Folkestone, a charming coastal town in Kent, had plenty to offer in terms of outdoor fun:

Folkestone Harbour Festival
Held at the stunning Folkestone Harbour, this festival featured maritime-themed events, live music, street performances, and food stalls. The festival drew locals and tourists alike to the seaside for a weekend of entertainment.

Creative Folkestone Triennial
As one of the UK’s most prominent outdoor art exhibitions, the Folkestone Triennial takes over the town every three years with a variety of art installations displayed in public spaces. This summer’s event brought thought-provoking works that attracted art lovers from far and wide.

Tempe, Arizona

Tempe, known for its sunny weather and desert landscapes, was a hub of outdoor activity all summer long:

Tempe Town Lake Festival
On the Fourth of July, the Tempe Town Lake Festival lit up the skies with fireworks over the water. The event also featured live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities, all set against the beautiful desert backdrop.
