Screen Cornwall has signed up to LocationDB as part of a wider push to streamline location management and production support services across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
LocationDB enables film offices to build and manage comprehensive location libraries, making it easier for productions to discover, assess and access filming locations across the region.
The move reinforces the region’s growing reputation as a destination for film and high-end TV production, giving location managers and production companies streamlined access to location intelligence and support through a centralised digital platform, while also enabling Screen Cornwall to coordinate enquiries more efficiently.
The region has continued to attract major film and television productions in recent years, including HBO’s House of the Dragon the forthcoming Harry Potter television series and the recently released adaptation of The Salt Path starring Gillian Anderson and Jason Isaacs. Cornwall is also currently on screen in feature film Rose of Nevada and has previously provided locations for productions including Beyond Paradise, Poldark, Fisherman’s Friends and ITV’s Doc Martin.
With demand for distinctive coastal and rural filming locations continuing to grow, the adoption of LocationDB is expected to further strengthen Cornwall’s position as one of the UK’s leading regional production destinations.
