Atlanta’s reputation as one of the nation’s busiest production hubs shows no signs of slowing, with multiple high-profile film and television projects recently finished, currently filming, or preparing to roll cameras across the metro area.
Film permit application activity throughout Atlanta and surrounding Georgia counties reflects a strong pipeline of productions. Among the projects, new to Netflix is the hit His & Hers, a series centered on a journalist returning to her hometown. The production secured multiple FilmApp permits across Georgia, highlighting Netflix’s continued investment in the region. Oxygen’s true-crime series Bloodletting: Real Murders of Atlanta is also back for Season 4, filming on location with city-approved permits tied to real-world Atlanta settings. Adding to the momentum is Bloodletting: All the Sinners Bleed, a newly announced Netflix series expanding the franchise and further increasing demand for production crews, locations, and film permits throughout the city.
Feature films are also contributing to Atlanta’s robust production slate. Tis So Sweet, a Netflix film produced by DeVon Franklin and Tyler Perry, recently wrapped filming under Atlanta-area permits, while Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black is moving forward with Season 3, continuing Perry’s long-standing production presence in Georgia. Major studio projects are lining up as well. Tulsa King Season 4 officially began filming in November 2025 and blockbuster titles such as Superman and Marvel’s Thunderbolts are slated as upcoming Atlanta-area productions, further driving permit applications and on-location filming activity. These projects join long-running and recently completed Atlanta-based hits like Stranger Things and Will Trent, reinforcing the city’s position as a top destination for television and film production.
With streamlined film permitting via us, experienced crews, and a film-friendly infrastructure, Atlanta continues to attract both prestige television and major studio films at an unprecedented pace, which we are proud to be a small part of.
